WELCOME DECEMBER 🍂
One of my favorite things to do on a Sunday is journal and reflect on the week. Of course after a nice doorway stretch to release any tension from my sleep 💤.

🍁 This December I challenge you to create time to do some reflection in your career, life, family and health.

🍁Celebrate your wins even if they are small. Celebrate brushing your teeth, waking up early, washing your face, going on a walk or anything that boosts your self-esteem.

👉🏽Believe me when I say you don’t have to struggle to figure out what to eat. And you don’t have to block hours to do cardio and burn the excess calories you had for thanksgiving.

I then realized it’s not sustainable long term.

So the best thing you can do is be consistent with a workout program and have a balanced approach.

How ONE decision led me to a path of incredible success.

I still remember this day very clear. I was experiencing burnout so I came home to take a nap from my first job before my second one. As soon as I got home, I passed out from how tired I was. I set an alarm to make sure I woke up from my nap so I wouldn’t be late.

I woke up and everything was dark except the lights outside the door. This was the moment that shifted everything. 👇🏽👇🏽👇🏽
I woke up what seemed to be sleep paralysis - this can happen for multiple reasons but in my case it was burnout and stress.
It was the craziest out of body experience and the scariest, most life changing experience of my life.

I was freaked out to the max, I could hear my self talking but nothing was coming out, I was balling my eyes out but no tear. And the worst part was that I could not touch the ground because I felt like I was going to fall into a deep black hole and never come back.
I remember crying to god and being like I am willing to do what ever it takes to come back, please return me to my body! 😩
 After moments passed by I was so scared to get out of bed and finally I woke up for reals. I woke up in a panic attack and immediately started crying, scared shitless and ran to my second job.

Reflecting on this moment, I knew god wanted me to focus and prioritize my mental and physical health. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼  This was the moment when everything shifted and since then it as taken me to the path of incredible success. With trial and error, lessons, experiences and wisdom to keep moving forward I can’t express this enough —

When you put yourself first above anything and put god above all - life will happen for you, not to you.
Seek and you shall find. 💗💗💗

⭐️ Prioritizing a healthy breakfast - There are so many easy, quick recipes to make or prep. I love using Pinterest.

⭐️Stretching - Our quads are so strong from walking up the stairs, sports and heavy lifting so it’s super important to stretch them like 3x a day. This will help decrease back pain over time.

⭐️Block or schedule workouts - Find 15 minutes to do a stretch routine every day or start with 3x a week and follow your schedule consistently.

⭐️Walking - Ever since I got a puppy, walking has been the best method for weight-loss. Get a dog or find a walking buddy :)
You can also start walking alone and listening to podcasts to improve your mental health.

⭐️Working with someone to hold me accountable - all my clients have changed or transformed their life by working with me so I highly recommend to work with someone.

⭐️Drinking lots of water - I can’t express this enough, aim to drink at least a liter a day. Those Stanley cups are very helpful. Try to drink at least two of those a day.

My lowest point was just the start. HERE is my comeback story 🤯

In 2018 I was training hard and dieting counting calories thinking that it was the formula to lose weight.

I started my personal training journey in 2016 and got certified because I wanted to live my best life with optimal health.

I was a cross country runner, and my coach lead me to lifting weights. I started lifting heavy and would do stairmaster for hours every day.

My life was pretty hectic, trying to juggle, my diet and hours of the gym.

In 2018, I was about to lose my job life just became very stressful for me.

I didn’t realize I was gaining weight due to all the stress and eventually hit my lowest point in my life gaining over 20 pounds.

I didn’t know what to do, the only option I had was to connect to God and pray for answers.

My lowest point was just the start. HERE is my comeback story 🤯

In 2018 I was training hard and dieting counting calories thinking that it was the formula to lose weight.

I started my personal training journey in 2016 and got certified because I wanted to live my best life with optimal health.

I was a cross country runner, and my coach lead me to lifting weights. I started lifting heavy and would do stairmaster for hours every day.

My life was pretty hectic, trying to juggle, my diet and hours of the gym.

In 2018, I was about to lose my job life just became very stressful for me.

I didn’t realize I was gaining weight due to all the stress and eventually hit my lowest point in my life gaining over 20 pounds.

I didn’t know what to do, the only option I had was to connect to God and pray for answers.

1. Standing split shoulder pullbacks, 10 each side. Using your right thumb, grab your left thumb and reach up and back almost like you are pushing something behind you. Switch sides.
2. Standing single arm circles on the wall, 20 reps each side. (The closer you stand on the wall the harder, so work your way up until you are close to the wall). Make sure to tuck your pubic bone, engage your glutes and reach and back to open your shoulder.
3. High plank to a downward dog - move with the movement of your breath.
4. Single leg quad stretch on the ground.

⭐️I had to change my morning routine in order to set the tone for my day.

▪️The first thing I do when I wake up is I take a deep breath and thank god for a new day.
▪️I immediately look up a 10 min morning meditation to get my mind right and forget the negative thoughts coming in 💭.
▪️I then start my morning routine: Brush teeth, wash face, get dressed, walk my doggy Ella 🐶 and stretch my chest and hips before I sit down to trade the stock market. 📈
